18th World Amateur Theater Festival
International Association of Amateur Theater
Since 1952, AITA / IATA asbl has brought together amateur theater troupes from all over the world and is one of the historical partners of the Mondial.
Festival tribute
Each of the 18 participating troupes receive a trophy, the “Homage” of the Festival, specially created by the Monegasque sculptor Marcel Sbirazzoli
Rest in peace, Paddy O'Dwyer
It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our friend Paddy O'Dwyer, founder of Dublin Youth Theatre and former President of AITA/IATA.
Passionate about theatre and a true source of inspiration, Paddy transformed the world of amateur theatre in Ireland and left a warm mark on our hearts.
It is therefore with great emotion that the Mondial du Théâtre pays tribute to him and thanks him for his dedication and his involvement over all these years.
